How can I measure boost with no piggyback???

How can I measure boost with no piggyback??? I have a cable to connect to my laptop and OBD socket, is there any program that can log such things or can I do it via the vacuum hoses? Anything would help! Can't make INPA work otherwise that would have been an easy task

Goto Autozone, buy a boost gauge

You can get the boost source from the vacuum line coming from the intake manifold.

Don't know of any software that doesn't work with a proprietary cable but Bavarian Technic cable logs boost (and everything else) just fine. Start at $179 for single VIN enthusiast cable and go up from there. I know there are cheaper options for displaying boost via OBD port but not sure about logging.

Cobb has a live boost gauge on the accessport. You play with boost by switching different maps.

just google 335i boost gauges. there are many options. you may like the vent gauge option. or jb4 in-dash boost gauge.

I know that! I just wanted to know whether or not there was an option for those who are running a flash only

There's no way hack through the iDrive menu to get to a display screen that shows dynamically what the current level of boost is?

Well I did some little hack with turning the knob left/right a certain number of clicks, and I got to a screen that showed me all kinds of sensor data, including things like pitch/yaw/roll degrees, latitude and longitude coordinates, etc.

I *know* that data is in there including live boost readings, must be a way to get to it?
