rock chips on edge of quater panel?

was washing my car today and noticed rock chips on edge of qtr panel/wheel well.. Have any of you all noticed same and what did you all do to correct or prevent? thinking of ordering some touch up paint from bmw to fix.. any suggestions? thanks

Here's a great thread on the subject and you'll see my recommendation for Dr. Colorchip as one of the better touchup solutions.
