EGR Location? Newbie Question
Ok, I'm kind of new at DIY and engines. I can do a fair amount of my own work on my car - oil change, spark plugs, brake fluid, even installed a Vishnu, but for some reason, I just cannot find the location of the EGR Valve on my N55 E92. Anyone got a pic?
I looked here too. http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E9...ar2011/browse/ Unless the part goes by a different name? The reason I'm asking, is I have a feeling it may be causing the idle of my car when cold to rev up and down. I also noticed that exhaust seems to be only coming out the right-side pipe when the car is cold. When I give it some gas momentarily, the revving up and down stops, and both pipes have exhaust. Couldn't this be a temporarily stuck EGR? I've seen posts indicating this with rough idle as a symptom, but that seems to be for diesels only.

Moderator, could you move this post to the "N55 Turbo Engine Tuning and Exhaust Modifications - 335i Tuning" section. Sorry, posted in wrong section...
