Exclamation jb4 g5 iso wastegate rattle settings

I just installed my jb4 g5 iso and the rattling is horrible. I have messed with menu 10 and 12. And the rattling is still there. I have searched and a lot of people have menu 10 set to 4.5 and menu 12 set to 4. I get really bad rattle under deceleration. What do you guys recommend?

For wastegates that rattle normally very low settings are needed on menu 10. Like 800rpm or 0rpm.

Ditto. I have mine down at 800rpm now. I didn't play with 12. I noticed the throttle got very touchy going from an idle pace to throttle application (IE, idling forward, to getting on the gas) when toying with 12.

I've tried every possible combination of 10 and 12 on my setup and I cannot make it stop rattling.

Changed it and the rattling is almost completely gone. Is it normal that map 5 goes from 15-16lbs to 10-12lbs the higher the rpm.

All boost on any map starts to decrease when approaching red line

whaT did youb put 10 on 800rpm? did you touch 12?mine rattles on all settings except 1000rpm and under, but the car feels sluggish and too much lag. Is there anything i can do to menu 12 for example to fix that?

I have mine down to minimal with right settings took some time. Now I just get lit bit of rattle around 2500 rpm. I love the jb4 but I know for a fact that the first time I ever heard wg rattle was the day I changed to G5 ISO. Never ever rattled at any gear or rpm prior on the jb4 G4 board.

I lowered menu 10 to 800 yesterday.
Car doesn't boost as much on low throttle and is a lot louder?

I have the g5, but won't upgrade to ISO because of this very reason. Not worth it IMO

Now the rattle is only when I start the car. Its not rattling anymore after I hit the gas while driving.

the lower u go, the more open the wastegates are i think, and therefore the less boost u are running. so u get more lag, almost no boost till u really get on it. this solution might get rid of rattle but for me the throttle response was not worth it..

It's normal for boost to be higher in the mid-range(3000-5000) then it is near redline (5500-7000), so yes.

The thing is, I didn't lower the value because of the rattle.
I was told by Terry to lower it because I was having oscillating boost issues on low throttle. Also changed my menu 12 to 2200rpm.

Is map 5 on g5 board the same as on g4 when you put e85?

so u lowered it and now u have rattle? well then raise it a little bit. my car rattles less when the value is very high, or very low, for both menu 10 and 12. In between 2k-4k it rattles the most. The default for menu 10 is 40 and menu 12 is 32. start there and decrease until u like throttle response. fuck the rattle. u gotta choose whats more important, rattle or throttle. every car is different in terms of what setting work. menu 10 controls boost from 0-1. menu 12 controls boost from 1-5. so u can configure it how u want. there is no right answer

Make sure you have the newer firmware. I had rattle that would not go away with the g5 and with the newer firmware (i think 25 on) I had no rattle.
