Madison, WI JB4 Install

Does anybody know of a shop or individual that could install a JB4 for a decent price? I would rather have someone with experience do it as it will be a lot quicker and a lot less stressful.

Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I'll just have to give it a shot myself.

Alright, thanks for the assurance.

How long did it take you the first time?

maybe an 1.5 hrs. only because it was the first time under the hood of a bmw and I was taking my time. I installed it on my buddies 335i.

I could probably do it now in about 30 min. Fishing the usb cable through the firewall takes a little time to figure out.

I also used black tape on the pin connectors. Just for my own security to know that they won't unplug from each other, not necessary, but its what I did on both his and mine.

Pay attention to wire colors (not harness), that confused me a little. Take your time and have a laptop or tablet there, as well as the printed instructions

Its extremely easy- I did mine in about 40 mins the first time and was really careful, going back to the guide and videos numerous times. Almost impossible to screw something up . I've pulled it off a few times since then in 10 mins once you get the hang of the ECU plug connectors.

Watch the videos 3-4 times to really understand everything, its pretty straightforward.

Otherwise, Performance 2ning in Peosta, IA is a great shop I've used for VW stuff. Im sure he would field a piggyback install.
