Friends Girlfriend Backed Into Me - What Grilles?

So my friends girlfriend backed into my car over the weekend, and luckily the trailer hitch just broke out one of the grilles. Still can't believe how lucky I got that she didn't put a hole in my bumper.

My question is, which grilles to replace them with? I really seem to like the stock grilles. I have a 2009 335i E90 Msport in Black Saphire Metallic. I don't think I would like the matte finished grilles. But the glossy ones are Jet Black and not BSM, so I'm not sure how that would work out.

Are the BMW performance black grilles gloss black on the rim and then the vertical lines are still chrome, or are those gloss black too? It is very hard to tell from the pictures online...

Thanks for any help and your suggestions. Also, if you have any pics of grilles on BSM I would love to see them.

Awkward haha. Grilles are super cheap you can probably find stock chrome ones for like $30 shipped on the for sale market here.

Go gloss/matte black and don't ever go back to chrome. Oh and make your friend pay for it.

Go with gloss black.

I have 2009 E92 Stock grill if anyone needs them. They are mint and under 1000 miles on them.

I like my black chrome grills, they don't blend in like the gloss black, but they don't stick out like the chrome.

That was the only appearance feature I hated about the car. Shadowline trim package, with chrome grills. They looked so out of place.

I have my old chrome grills, if you really need a set.

These guys have the right of it OP. Gloss hands down. No offene DF but I personally feel the matte has an off look to it. I had the matte on my e46 and it was mint. I just can't cosign on the e90's though.

i Agree, the matte worked well with the e30/e36/e46 but just doesnt do it for me with the newer e90 and f platform cars

I really like the idea of this, but the verticle lines are matte and not gloss.

I believe the OEM Black Kidneys are gloss on every part of them right?

If so, I'd probably go with the OEM all gloss. You can't tell a difference between the Jet Black and the BSM with the grilles I guess right?
