Nikon D300

The nikon d300 is out !! Who's getting it ?

I can't afford it, nor am I competent enough with my D40 to deserve to upgrade.

I looked at it, decided to pass. There weren't enough improvements over my D200 to justify the expense.

When I bought the D200, I said the only thing that will get me to upgrade is a full frame sensor. I'm very intrigued by the D3, but I think the resolution will be improved in a D3x. The Canon is running 20mpixel+ on their full frame sensor, I think Nikon will be there very soon. I'm also looking at a 645 medium format w/ digital back. It's close in price to what I think a D3x will run, and far better quality.

Are you thinking of getting the D300??

Yeah i have a d70 right now. So What is this d3x never herd of it ?

They haven't announced the D3x. The D3 is out, the D3x is what I expect to follow, based on Nikon's previous way of doing things. I almost put my name down on the D3, but I'd like to see higher resolutions from a full frame sensor. That, and the D2x was not a good camera - I heard of many pros selling theirs and buying D200's!
