MSport paint and Install in OHIO

Hey local folks am in Columbus Ohio trying to do an MSport conversion.. Shops are quotting me $3450($1965 OEM Parts which I can get myself) and about $1500 for paint and Install does this even make sense? Worth it? Am iffy.. The two shops Achbach and VIC's auto body shop.. Any members willing to recommend to do it at a fraction? Am an absolute noob, new to the City and zero bmw tools. Thanks
