335 OEM Sturt bar vs others
How does the sturt bar that comes with the 335 compare to the others being sold out there?
Namely Racing Dynamics, strut bar?

Pretty annoying, that. Almost makes one think about firing up a garage operation to make a front strut brace, rear shock tower brace, and maybe even some under carriage bits to put those viagra 4 hour rigidity claims to shame. Rumor has it that there are some ceramic materials that would outperform CF at 70% of the weight.

*shrugs* um is it just me but I have some kind of strut bar that came with my car... its skinny bar that goes where a strut bar goes and it curves BEHIND the airbox etc.

What if...
I just got a custom cold air intake installed. The stock OEM air filter box was removed. Does this mean that I can install the OEM strut bar on my 335i? Was that the only obsticle that prevented us from using the OEM strut bars?

Uhm, I've been driving around for 4000 miles with the oem strut bar installed.
It fits, but you get a rattle in your dash that sounds like a little bird tap-dancing in your air vent. I machined a set of 2mm spacers and secured a small strip of rubber where the bar goes over the air-box and problem solved. |

I see, well thank you for doing so. Lying about shit that fits have been pissing me off. I want a sway bar also but none for XI :+(
its cool that the OEM bar fits with the cold air but I want a ram air intake (also in R&D stage)
