Court upholds decision to exclude Ricciardo
FIA's International Court of Appeal has upheld the decision to exclude Daniel Ricciardo's Red Bull from the results of Australian Grand Prix over a breach of the fuel flow rate regulations. Formula One racing’s governing body countered that allowances had been made for inconsistencies and that using alternative calculation methods without its express permission was in itself also a breach of the regulations.
Red Bull says it accepts the decision of the International Court of Appeal.

I'm waiting to read the full release from FIA.
See what are the basis to upheld the decision. Perhaps the court was not convinced of the method RBR presented to measure fuel mass flow rate.

Mercedes QC Paul Harris wants further punishment on top of Daniel Ricciardo's disqualification from the Australian Grand Prix. Under provisions in the FIA's International Sporting Code, the court has the right to give further punishments.
Harris said in his closing statement at the hearing: "We are, frankly, and with great respect, concerned that Red Bull have shown such a flagrant and deliberate disregard for these rules that there is a real risk they will do it again"

Good. Penalize them further for wasting everybody's time.

I'll go with anything Mercedes wants after their display of sportsmanship and respect to the sport of F1 and us fans in Bahrain. There was no "Lewis, Nico is faster than you ( and ahead in the DC ) let him pass" , just a calm and fair, bring both cars home to both drivers. And what a show it was.

Not driving a Mercedes is punishment enough!
Its gonna be a long season for the teams in blue and red, I expect them both to stretch the rules in attempt to catch up |

Ha. They admitted to gaining an advantage and they actually had the audacity to challenge the ruling.
Basically during the race they were told you are cheating, using too much fuel. Turn it down. No F-U, we will lose 0.4 sec a lap. |
