OBD port not working 07 E93 335i

Hey Guys, so was getting brakes and rotors and oil change done with Ivo. He called me up and said that for some reason his diagnostic tool (OBD) wouldn't connect with my car. JB4 was on map 0 and he even tried to remove it completely, no dice. Only recent change was that I installed the OEM alarm (not coded yet). Has anyone experienced this? Anything I can check out? Picking up the car tomorrow afternoon, was planning on coding in the alarm, but if OBD doesn't work gonna be stress. (07 E93 335i)
