car shuts off in mid driving?

i seem to have a problem and its happened to be twice... ill be driving normally and all of a sudden the car seems to jerk and flicker on and off like its losing power.. then all the lights on the dash come on!!! i dont kno wtf it is?? ill pull over and shut it off and start it and its fine. Check ok is fine and everything... anybody can help me out>??

only when i am idleing though

but never COMPLAETELY shut off

check the connection at the battery. Make sure both cables are tight on the posts, and the third cable that comes off the positive post is also tight. sounds like a loose cable to me

Could it be the gas you are using? I know the lower octanes are pretty rough on the engine wrt performance and calm idle.

Nope. Car could adjust for that.

Having the same issue, and the car is at the dealership right now. See if they can pull some codes off your car because when my car stalls it doesn't report any error!

I'll update you if I get any resolution.

thanks..i checked out the battery and no issues since the wires seemed a bit loose so i tightened it so well c

While stopped at a light, my car shut down completely. I had to restart and seemed like the car started fine. After 1000 feet the car shut down and started to coast. The car cannot start or idle. I pulled over and called BMW Roadside. The car is on its way to my original dealership Alexander BMW in LA. This is my second 335i because my 1st 335 was in the shop over 1 month because of the same issue. The car would idle rough and BMW could not figure out what the issue was. They tried to replace fuel injectors, the main computer and a bunch of other stuff. I am now so thru with BMW. So now i need to open a case with BMW corporate and meet with a district rep to talk about my experience with BMW. I want out of this car immediately and all my money returned.

1st BMW 335i White with Red Interior - purchased 12-2006 Returned 1-2007 with 496 Miles

2nd BMW 335i Space Gray with Gray interior purchased 3-2007 Returned TBD
