Phone/ipod holder in ash tray anyone did this ?

I was just wondering, did anyone find a way to stick a phone in the ashtray ? I use an old Samsung Galaxy S phone for my music and think it would be awesome if I could just stick it in there and leave it there. I could also sync the music from my PC to the car through Wi-Fi.

Specdock makes them for the iPods/iPhones. Their install guide is way more complicated than it should be though. You don't need to take off the dash. There's a diy here for an easier way to install it. You basically remove the plastic piece around the idrive knob/shifter.
