Car Shake when Revving at Idle

Hey, if I have the car in neutral and do a quick rev, the engine shakes. It isn't a stumble and the car runs fine, just curious if anyone elses engine shakes when revving in neutral or park? It only happens between 1-3k rpms I'd say.

I'm at 83k miles, original coil packs. I don't get any misfires or issues at WOT so it's hard to diagnose.

I know it's not but going to about 3.5k rpms with no load should spin a bearing. Just curious if anyone else has noticed thisor if their revs are smooth. Oh well no big deal.

Bump.

Anyone have a slight shake when revving lightly in park. I'm not doing a full blown rev to hear the engine, this is like revving to 3k nothing more. Problem happens at about 1.5k rpms.

I have no other issues with the car while driving, no misfires, no codes, nothing.

Can people verify that their engines are completely smooth when they rev if they do rev.

A physical shake may be something related to mounts. Best thing is to get underneath and inspect.

There are really too many factors and this is a broad issue, it could be many things.

Get a video of the engine movement. If it looks excessive it's likely the mounts. You'll know if it's excessive, they are supposed to move a little bit.

Xi are also notorious for beating up on mounts and bushings cause all the power goes down to the ground.

Is that a lot of movemet for revving in Park, I didn't want to rev it any higher while in park. There does seem to be excess movement if you focus on the dv on the passenger side.

It's normal, that's why engine has mounts.

That doesn't seem excessive.

Have you gone under the vehicle to inspect the mounts?

I have a slight shake at idle too but I've had it since before replacing my mounts like a month ago. I've installed brand new coils and plugs on my car about 2 months ago. I'm not sure why it does it but I definitely have it too. I was watching the RPM gauge and it doesn't even jump or drop but it shakes ever so slightly. Vacuum leak maybe?

I have this as well, pretty noticable when I'm revving to launch between 2-3k, no codes, I was about to buy 6 coils but after vb6us I'm reconsidering. (N55)

Only get new coils if your car is misfiring and throwing a code when you exert it (usually JB4 will do this). If you're modded and your car is not throwing a code for a misfire, save your money, imo and look into changing the plugs first.

Thanks for the advice, I'll hold off on them, ive been through a couple sets in the past year alone, ive tried OEM, and NGK at different gaps, definitely ruled out plugs as my issue.
