Cranks but won't start
Hi.
So what has happened is that i changed my tappet gasket cover on my 320d 2009 as i was told it was leaking. The job went well. After all was put together and i tried to start the car i would crank very rapidly as is normally does but would not fire up. The car was working all fine before the gasket change. I can see fuel is coming to the glow plugs. I am currently working on getting my Inpa to be able to read engine codes. But haven't got it to do that yet. I am stuck at this point. Maybe some one can guide me in the right direction or trow in any suggestions Thanks ezzter |

What do you mean fuel going into the glow plug? Two completely different thing.
Did you have to disconnect your fuel line or remove injectors for the job? If you do, diesel is notoriously hard to start if there is air in the fuel system. Buy a bottle of "start your bastard", spray into the filter element, and just keep cranking it. It will start at some point. |

Yes i had to remove all the injectors and the rails delivering the fuel to them. Thanks for your tip btw. Dis show low fuel pressure in the accumulator, 7.8 bar. it should be 26 bar. When i discontent the power to the sensor it goes up to over 300 bar. i will start by checking the accumulator sensor. will update when i find something |
