looking for hallogen headlight bulb upgrades
I was wondering if anyone can recommend me a bulb thats brighter than the stock one? I have hallogen bulbs installed in my car and would like to upgrade. I would also like to upgrade my angle eyes as well.

1400? You dont need to buy new head lights to put in hids. Unless these cars are different. But if you dont want hid auto zone sells these bulbs that are supposed to look just like them. I also saw something called h.o.d which is plug and play. For angel eyes go lux.

Please do not put HID bulbs in your Halogen Low Beams. It blinds everyone and looks like a riced Honda Civic!
For halogen replacement, I used the Phillips Crystalvision. Bulb is H7. There's a bunch of others available, too, but they are essentially halogen bulbs that are whiter and have a hint of blue too look like HIDs. I found them to be way brighter and nicer then the OEM bulbs and only $20. |

If you do replace your AE bulbs, here's a tip - you don't have to remove the wheel or wheel well cover completely to change them. I just took out the screws on the front half of each wheel well cover and just pushed it down towards the tire (it bends because it's soft plastic). then when that is enough out of the way, you can access the bulbs from the engine compartment (much faster). |

Phillips Crystalvision - Better then stock
Phillips X-treme vision - Maximum performance at expense of price and longevity Osram Nightbreaker PLUS - Better then stock Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited - Maximum performance at expense of price and longevity These bulbs are generally the winners in diffrent tests, both low and highbeam. I use Nightbreaker PLUS bulbs on my motorcycle and it added atleast 20 yards to the lowbeam, which is a good indication since motorcycle reflectors are generally pretty bad at turning watts into lumens on the road. Had the old Osram Nightbreakers on my halogen equipped 320d E46 back in the day and I swear the highbeam went an extra 40-50 yards with just changing the bulbs. Also the colour is closer to xenon, which is relaxing for the eyes so you dont get tired as fast.
