N54 lumpy idle long cranks
Hello to you all.
I recently bought a 2008 335i It had 52k on the clock, full service ect... Anyway not long after I bought it the car went into limp mode, had it diagnosed and changed the vanos solenoids, which solved that issue. Now I am on 57k and for a few thousand miles I've had a lumpy idle, long cranks worse when cold, however when warm still idle shake. Doesn't throw any codes, I changed oil and plugs, to no avail, however when removing the old plugs, only done 10k, cylinder 1 and 5 were highly contaminated with what I think is fuel. Would I be right in saying I have two bad injectors? Leaking into cylinders causing a long crank? As I am in the uk bmw want to charge me 200 gbp each injector, so does anyone import them to uk I could get some cheaper. Any advice is really appreciated thanks. |

My idle also has a slight "sputter/lump", if you will. I'd be curious if other have this issue as well.
My guess is carbon build-up being the culprit.

It's likely your injectors, I have the same issue with a brand new HPFP, LPF sensor, plugs and coils too. My #2 cyl plug was black, and smelled like gas so I'm assuming it's leaking.
