Are BMW Wheels Clear Coated???

I have been wanting to buy some metal polish to clean off the rust and oxidatioin that has been building up on the wheel hubs. However, a lot of the metal polish have warnings that states "DO NOT USE ON PAINTED or CLEAR COATED WHEELS." Does anyone know whether the BMW alloy wheels are painted or clear coated? Thanks!

I believe most are painted and clear coated.

I think so too, but I called the dealership earlier and the guy fromo Parts told met that they're just alloy wheels, therefore, they're neither painted or clear coated. I think we need a subject matter expert here. Anyone.

Yes they are clear coated. Just hit a curb and You'll see chipping come off the wheel.
