Having a tough time putting on JGMods e92 M3 rep CF side skirt extension
Lined them up and they don't line up to the screw or existing bolts at all.
Apparently, I'm not the only one having this issue. @JStang had this issue too. He took it to a shop to look into it and install it for him. I also took it to a BMW shop, and they had no clue. Anyone else have this issue and find a resolution? Maybe, I'm looking at the wrong bolts? Jay checked for me, and said I have the correct product. I have the e92 M3 rep skirts from him too. Thanks in advance,

I have the exact same problem with the ones I purchased. Perhaps there was a bad batch?
Once we have a hot day I'm going to lay them out on my driveway and maybe the heat will make them flexible enough to line up.

I asked Jay the EXACT same thing. Almost made me sound stupid. I'm 100% sure I lined them up with M3 skirts he gave me. No luck at all.

Hi Sean,
You have to remove your side skirts off the car. Place the CF add-on on the ground flat. Place your side skirt on top of CF add-on. Move the CF add-on until you're happy with how much they come out. Drill holes through the side skirts and CF add-on. Use new speed clips and screws. Hope this info helps. |

Are you making new holes? You do not use any old (factory holes). You must drill/make new holes. Drill through both items at the same time.

Are you saying I must make new holes in the M3 side skirt??? Plus, again, there are tabs that do not line up with the side skirt at all. They're like floating in the air. I don't have time to take off the skirts and put them on again, otherwise, I'd post a quick picture. Maybe, I'll get around to trying this weekend.

That's why... You drill through both items at the same time.. So the holes line up. It's like stapling 2 pieces of paper together. You're making it harder then what it is. Those tabs on the cf piece isn't anything. Dont worry about them. |
