Car "gong" alert noise

Ever since I installed the JL HD 900 amp, the gong noise in my car is too loud. This is the alert sound for things like seat belt, cold weather alert, etc. Can I disable the sound and still keep the alerts on my dash?

Your gain is set too high.

What does that mean exactly? Is this also the reason I get a slight "hissing" noise while on my phone using Blue Tooth?

Thanks,

I got the gain situation figured out.

Now my question is how is the volume in Bluetooth set or determined?

while talking on the phone with someone over bluetooth, adjust the radio volume. it will set the phone volume independent of the radio volume.

^^ this is one of my biggest pet peeves about this car!! It is the same way for the navigation instructions volume. When I first got the car I thought it was broken because the instructions were almost silent. You have to be super quick and adjust the volume while it is talking. Why can't they just have a menu where you can set it?!?!?!

Sorry, rant over. Back to your regularly scheduled thread.
