Ipod Frustration on e92 - Willing to Pay for Solution!!

Ipod was working coded to work with CDC and everything was going great until bringing it home from the mechanic one day.

iPod was no longer coded so therefore didn't work.

Recoded CDC and now CD 1 through 6 is visible.

Connected iPod, but CD 1 through 6 are still all greyed out, as if the car does not recognize the iPod.

I have tried everything and cannot figure this out.

I am sooooo frustrated with this thing, that I am willing to pay for anyone that can come up with a solution.

Please help!

He has tried, but has no idea how...........

But you are right, he should really be finding a way to fix it.

Is it a BMW kit?

Is it a BMW kit?
On some of the kits Ipod and kmp3 must also be coded its
not just cdc.
If its and aftermarket unit you have to follow the manufacturers
instructions for programming .
You need to identify the kit and get more specific.
There are some DIY in the DIY board for the BMW kit and and
some of the after market programming.
Also you would get more answers on the stereo sub forum here.

Also do you have a pro radio or idrive nav
What did the mechanic do did he update the whole car to a new
level of software?

It is not a BMW kit, it is aftermarket.
Im not sure of the exact name of the device to be honest. Any ideas on how to identify a kit. It is just a cable that runs into my glovebox.

I have tried coding in both +IPOD and +KMP3 into the VO, but still no luck.

It is iDrive Navigation. Not sure exactly what the mechanic may have done, I'm assuming updating the whole car. It occurred right after I experienced a dead battery and brought it there to get replaced. Lets just say I won't be bring it back there ever again!
