anyone in philly area read my engine code?
So I am getting what seems to be the typical misfire. If I go WOT on 1st or 2nd gear, the service engine light comes on and car shakes violently. Pepboys and Autozone can't read my codes. They said the engine light needs to be on to get it.
Anyone have a tool they could read my 'service engine soon' code? The light has gone away for now but I need to fix it. If we can meet tonight that would be great ..thanks! |

I had the same problem but mine did it when the car was cold and it missfired for like 10 minuts and stopped. I just ended up replacing the coil. i mean there 30 bucks each on amazon.

yea i'm pretty sure it's a spark plug or coil but I need to know which cylinder the problem is. The shops around me won't read my code for free
If anyone is able, I will drive to you. |

pepboys tried and said they can't read codes unless the engine light is on at the moment.
