Pleasantly surprised warranty renewal quote
My warranty runs out at the end of the month so I went onto the BMW warranty website to get my renewal quote.
Bearing in mind I inherited 11 months warranty from the previous owner who paid £670 for a years comprehensive, £0 access and emergency services included as well. So to renew for another year was £616 all in with the same level of cover It's actually gone down!!! I will probably do a rolling direct debit at £57 a month as I've had nearly £4000 worth of work done this last year so I'm very much ahead of the game and it will give me total peace of mind Pleasantly surprised Jon

But then it will jump significantly next year at renewal time because he will be over 60k. Paying monthly avoids this providing he starts before 60k.

Not if the mileage is currently 57k. The price would rocket next year (when the mileage is over 60k) but will remain the same if paying monthly.

I'm looking at purchasing a 335i over the weekend. How much would a years warranty cost me from BMW??
I'd initially discounted them as a potential, until I saw this thread |

I paid the same on a just under 25k mile LCI 325D. Looks like its a fixed price til 60k. For people saying its a lot of money for a warranty. Yes that is true but in the event of a issue it will quickly pay off. And if you have a good relationship with your dealer then they will look after you

quick question.. my brakes (all pads and discs) need replacing.. if i get the parts from say europarts (non original BMW parts) will it invalidate my warranty?
BMW wanted £953 to do the job. my mate is saying £300 odd including parts. |

I believe its fine, so long as parts are original and fitted by a VAT registered garage.

Fair enough on services etc. but on discs and pads i dont think genuine and vat reg garage is required in the slightest |

I've got a £0 excess at present but if I up it to £100 it's only £42 monthly. Just got to ponder that one a bit

Would you fancy a £3500 bill to fix a folding roof though? That's why I'm keeping it going because they can be so friggin expensive "if" they go wrong.
