Interior Lighting Problem
Hey guys, bare with me i'm no expert
But basically a while back i swapped out my interior lights with a kit, apart from bending metal connectors to tighten bits everything went smoothly. Now a friend of mine recently purchased an e92 320i, also bought a kit, and i swapped all the bulbs over. All went well bar the ones in the rear of the centre tunnel, by the rear passengers feet. First none lit up, and it seemed to shut off the rest of the bulbs. So i swapped them around, fiddled about and eventually put the halogens back in. Everything worked again. Swapped them back, turned them on, only 2 out of 4 of the small bulbs worked so i thought the 2 not lighting up must be the wrong way round, so i changed them. Since doing so the footwell and door lights dont come on and neither do the one's that gave me the problem, i kept thinking it was doing the time out power save thing, but we left it overnight and still nada So now i'm stuck, either it's a fuse or something faulty? If so which fuse or what's gone wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated, cheers guys. |

Usually if it's a fuse none of the interior lights work, if I recall correctly.
I do not know which fuse but feel free to open up the fuse box and take a look around. (It's been a while so I can't remember). As far as the LED's themselves, you can always test any LED by hooking them up directly to the battery, positive and negative side terminals using some leftover misc wiring. As far as no lights turning on, I'm not sure but if it was my car the first thing I would do is take off the battery ground (don't close the trunk!!!). Then wait 10 minutes and put the battery ground back on and see if it resets. |

Thanks for that buddy! So even the tiny little bulbs will be okay straight a battery? I have a spare one in the garage, but the overhead lights still work? Got him checking fuses now
