BMW BT microphone with aftermarket HU
Is it possible to use the existing BMW bluetooth microphone with aftermarket head units instead of routing a new microphone all the way to the top console?
I dont want to take apart the all the A-pillar trim to route the cable. Anybody done this? I could not find any such info on searching the forums and on google. |

A pillar trim is remarkable easy to get off and on... I was worried it could get damaged and not go back on right.... but its not an issue at all. One torx screw under the "airbag" logo / cover and it just pulls off from top upwards. Easiest bit of trim on any car I've ever taken off. Shocked at how simple it was. Running the wire up the pillar is easy and over roof lining. The nasty bit is that stupid FDZ interior light that's a right pain to get off. |
