excited about a new purchase
As some might have seen I have been asking about Wagner intercoolers for some time. Well tonight I have purchased one new from Wagner for my 330d and I can't wait to get it and fit it! I'm hoping to get a better pull and cooler air temps when on track in May!
Has anyone else experienced the intercooler? I will try and do a how to and also some logs of my own with intake temps etc |

I have a wagner intercooler on my E90 335i. I haven't measured the difference in temps and HP etc.. but I'm sure its having some positive effect over standard.
The one I have is : http://www.wagner-tuning.co.uk/bmw-1...r-kit-20-p.asp |

I have monitored my air temp it hovers around 90-100c the standard intercooler on the diesel is crap! I hoping for some stable air temps and maybe slightly more pull. If not I will add meth that will cure my high temps.
Do you have any other bolt ons? |

@dan-dan
I did the same thing a few weeks ago. It still sits here on the floor of the Livingroom waiting for a friend to have time to help me fit it :-)

As for the air temps I'm almost 90% sure it's boost air temp. I was using my snap on machine while at nurbring last year and it got very hot very fast! Coolant temp also suffered with high temps aswell but no warning light appeared I just kept my eye on it. |

Well it's arrived quicker than I expected 3-4 days. Very well packaged and looks really good quality. Will hopefully get it fitted Sunday... Will let you know how it goes when fitted!

Well I got time last night and fitted it, along with new seals. Was awkward to fit as the front panel needed pulling to get intercooler up, but once up its was ok. It makes all the air go through the intercooler rather than out the bottom if cut off!
Now the drive, it's got more throaty whe. You floor it in second low speed. So far I'm not sure I feel much difference, there is a definate better pull in gear. Not had chance to open it up fully yet. But so far it seams to be making a difference, it's only small but hopefully my temps are lower! This is on a 330d by the way |
