Are E92 Coupe SE seats better than E90 SE seats....
Hi,
I am going to see a 2010 LCI E92 325i SE Coupe tomorrow and am wondering if the seats are any better than the seats you get in an E90 SE. I have owned one and also driven plenty of E90 SE's in the past and don't really like the standard seats, i find them very unsupportive and flat, so i am hoping the seats in the E92 will be better. I have driven a 2011 5 series SE recently and find the seats in them fine, so am hoping the E92 seats are similar. Thanks |

The 5 series SE seats are totally different in comparison.

It's got standard seats, it's this one here http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...33nh?logcode=p
Do you think it's a bit too overpriced, seems like main dealer price to me, but may be worth it if it's immaculate. Already having second thoughts now knowing the seats are just the same as an E90, i thought this was supposed to be a sports car so hoped the seats might be better. |

Do E92's have better steering than an E90?
I used to have a 2007 320d E90 and the steering was fine, i think it was hydraulic, but i drove an LCI E90 320D the other day with electric power steering and it was pretty awful, very lifeless, i hope the E92's is better tomorrow, i hope it feels a bit weightier and more connected to the road. |

My bum shall be deciding in about 4 hours.
Mind you theres still a lot more things to check i like than just the seats, hopefully i will like it and be able to strike a good part/ex deal with my X3. I may go as far as to say i am a little excited, i don't usually get up at 6.30am on a bank holiday monday. I used to have a six cylinder petrol BMW years ago and really loved the engine. . I have 2 x fully electric seat bases and all switches if anyone is interested
Quite easy to change over, The down side to having full electric in an e92 is when people are getting in and out of the back, you press the button and with for the seat to go forward before getting in, with semi electric it slides forward pretty quick, |

Turns out the seats weren't too bad after all, nowhere near as good as E90 M-sport seats, but they did seem bit better than other SE seats i have tried recently, maybe having tilt adjustment helped, the base of the seat felt a bit longer as well.
It was a very very nice car but it just didn't do anything for me, and it was not as quick as i thought i would be, i think i prefer diesel which has more low down usable power. Also the steering was a bit vague and the road noise would have driven me mad after a while. I have driven a few E90's lately and none had tyre roar like this did, it was nice to get back in my X3, it's a lot more refined. . Last edited by Z3man; 05-06-2014 at 05:24 PM.. |

Going to go and see this one the weekend http://www.bmwauc.com/AUC/WBAKK32040...6/digi-pdf.pdf ,i think i will like the diesel version more, should feel more powerful. Also it is an m-sport which should handle better and hopefully have a better overall feel to the car, more sporty, and i really like the bluewater colour and the oyster interior, looks like a really nice car and suits my tastes.
The only thing worrying me is the 19" wheels, i like the look of them but have read on here that they give a back breaking ride and can also crack easily. But no harm in taking a test drive, hopefully they won't be as bad as people make out. |
