Mega Speed is another tune. We have at least 3 shops in Toronto that offer tunes.

You are looking for the best tuner as far are hp/tq are concerned. But is this for a stock car or modified. I think hardware changes need to be considered with tune as well, otherwise you are not comparing apples to apples. And then, if/when you do make changes to parts on your car, your tune is best to consider those. So, it is a hard question, which one is best. Best is the one that works for you and your car given your considerations and changes that you have made.

Keeping stock pipes, especially the DPF and getting a full tune may have considerations on the functioning of all the emissions alphabet and their longevity. May be someone can confirm or deny.

JB is not a tune don't want it..

Just take a quick look at the main page and you will find plenty of DPF problems.
Read other forums regarding American trucks and you will find a lot of problems with the DPF, well before 100k. So, do your homework. |

Of course there are DPF problems, depends on the car not the tune, VW has a long line of DPF failures all covered under warranty by VW, me I have had 5 tdi all tuned well into the 100k miles with never a dpf probles, all CR140 motors...

DieselRacer, the only meaningful comparison here you will get from TDIwyse on Evolve vs Ecotune. He had posted some data before in one of the threads.

Thanks , I did some research, they all are doing about the same thing if you just do an ecu tune, if you want other goodies then the tunes can do different things from different companies, I like Malone Rocketchip and Ecotune so far...

DieselRacer, you seem to be well experienced in tuning your past diesels. I am sure you can appreciate all the benefits and problems. If you are willing to tune and play with your car, you may wish to consider getting rid of the DPF, SCR, DEF stuff. Will have a faster, more efficient and more reliable car. May be Ecotune down pipe/tune combo be just the right mix of goodies for someone like you.
