Audi RS3 Concept
I think I want one to replace my 335d. Oh wait, it probably won't ever appear on our shores.

Yeah I was reading up on that the other day too. Wicked looking little beast.
I do admit I was very closely eyeing up the new 2015 A3 sedan at the Philly auto show back in January. It's a sharp looking car. Simple, ideal size (not bloated like the new F30), and reasonably priced. The rep I spoke with indicated they will be bringing it over with VAG's 4 pot TDI as an offering later this year. Combine the TDI motor with the S line sports package and you've got a decent car. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Mark M; 05-16-2014 at 11:35 AM.. |

8250 RPM 4.2L v8 from the RS4>>>>>>>>>6900 RPM 2.5L I-4 even though the I-4 has way more power. I dont think I could get on board with that, sometimes in a car like that you just need the engine sound and feel to compliment the car and I doubt that engine would do it. Would still be tons of fun to wring out on the track though

Hooper the motor is a I-5, they have been using it for quite a few years, they've been using the turboed one in the TT-rs and it rips and sounds pretty good. Not v8 good, but not bad, they have their own noise

Haha, yeah I see that. Could have sworn it said i-4. Either way, its not Ferrari 355 good, or RS-4 good. But hey at those power numbers it will put a smile on your face.

The last good -looking/performing- Audi was the B5 S4. I used to own a B5 S4 Avant, stage III. I would get one again in a heartbeat, but the way Audi is currently configuring their vehicles, I won't get one. A3 prime example, with the Kia like interior (cheaper materials used), small inside, less desirable engines, etc etc, I won't be inclined to get one... I don't understand AoA these days. Brand used to market itself with "never follow", had gotten big with Quattro and diesels in Europe....... At the moment, the only manufacturer to offer an AWD Diesel Wagon is BMW.....never follow what again??
That said, I5 would be great, same engine as in TT-RS, have driven a few of them on track (students' cars), and IMHO, it's basiscally a mini R8... |
