Ugh, more smoke from turbo side of engine bay
So, after a good 2 weeks of trouble free motoring i have got a smokey engine bay again. I replaced the top turbo top oil hose 2 weeks ago. Which seemed to mostly dry the area up.
I replaced hose #2. Numbers 1 & 3 look like they might be accessible from the diagram. Are they? Is it worth replacing them too? It is a bit weird though, im not sure if they soak it up the oil in the air but the vacuum lines are all quite oily. Is this a symptom of something? Im fairly confident that its not the turbos on the way out as the exhaust isnt noticeably smoky or anything. Just getting a bit fed up and want it fixed and running right. |

Good luck accessing #1, I just did it and would not wish this job to a worst enemy. The lower connection is sandwiched between an engine block and a larger turbo housing. Have to unhook turbos, or even better remove them. If you are doing this from underneath, you have to take off the a/c condenser and it's bracket to get access. And of course everything in between all of the above. Get a dealer to do it, but I would not want to see that bill.
