Do you have Polished Dish's? Chime in Naoooow!
Hi everyone.
This thread is for people with polished dish's and how to maintain the polished finish. What do you use? How often do you apply it? Do you wipe your dish's down at the end of every day or every time you get out the car? I have polished dish's on my SSR Professor MS1s. They have really suffered and i am having the dish's re done shortly. I want to keep them as fresh looking as possible and i am having issues maintaining them because the spokes over hang the dish making it near impossible getting your fingers under there to polish the lips when they start looking rubbish. I HATE POLISHING WHEELS but i do not mind doing it once every 6 months. So once freshly polished, how would you keep them clean without having to metal polish them all the time? I wash the rims once a week But should i be wiping them down every day to remove any excess dirt and making sure they aren't wet? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Polished wheels are a nightmare
Id get them painted. I once had bare metal wheels. Omg what a joke had to wash and dry them daily and polish them weekly. Drove me completely bonkers |

Have a look at Gyeon Rim, a lot of prep work in needed but a coating should last around a year.

Get a proper wheel sealant on there, that's designed for polished dishes.
Either that or throw in the towel and have them 'Chrome' powder coated. Just got to keep them really well sealed up, protected, and clean. |

I use GTechniq M1 for the polish (don't use it so often)
And to seal, poor boys wheel sealant does the trick ![]()

My polished lips are wrecked now due to me not keeping up cleaning them over winter, I'm gutted! Just going to get them refurbed and the lips painted/powder coated, polished is too much of a commitment haha
