How good are these lights?

Hey guys. Currently, my 2008 E92 is equipped with the OEM yellow "angel eyes". I was wondering, how good are these bulbs? I assume they are just a quick swap from the OEM's.

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-12...60-e70-z4.aspx

I checked out the guide at the top of this forum, but couldn't find these exact ones in there.

*****EDIT: looking at the page again, I realized I read the reviews wrong. Most people gave it a rating of 1!!! Woops...I thought it went 5, 4, 3, 2, 1....guess I'll keep searching. Any recommendations?

There are literally over a hundred threads on angel eyes duder -

Right off the top- for plug and play: lux and highperformancebulbs.

Complete LED ring upgrade- OSS.

Thanks! Yeah I know there are....I've done searches already. I just wanted some more recent opinions. I'm liking the lux ones based on my search so far.

If you've done enough searches you'd know that bulbs aren't the way to go.

Nothing wrong with plug and play upgrades, not everyone wants to spend $500+ on custom lights. Plug and play options are light years ahead of the stock dull halogens. This is not a sales pitch coming from a vendor, it's the simple truth of the matter. Anything is better then stock.

If you dont like flickering I would suggest looking into ours because some of the popular competitors offerings like to flicker on start up which most people find annoying. Do some research on specific brands and flickering before buying.

Well the Lux is just bulbs which you swap in...they don't seem to be bad. And I didn't see any mention in my searches that bulbs were a bad choice.

Thanks! I'm going to need to look into the flickering. Didn't know that happened...

Depends on what you're looking for. If you want a brighter, whiter, and more evenly distributed ring...bulbs won't give you that.

I don't know...from the videos I've been watching on the Lux H8 V4, they look whiter and brighter than the OEM's. Of course, the evenly distributed ring part I can't speak for based on videos. The lux do however flicker a good bit on start up from the videos. I'm going to look into some other light bulbs as well, but I guess I can look into the OSS rings too. I'm just nervous about the install of the OSS rings if I went that route.

So I've done some searching and narrowed it down to either the Lux H8 V4 or the Mtec H8 V3 bulbs. So far, leaning towards the Lux despite the flickering. I mean as long as it doesn't flicker while driving, it doesn't seem to be much of a problem.

Same searching for me with the opposite conclusion, I think. Lux look really good but I can't decide if I'm okay with the flickering. Looks like something is wrong with the car, haha. But they do look good when they're on in the pics.

OSS can install the lights themselves if I send them in right? I think I read that somewhere. Anywho, I'd probably end up with bulbs for now...don't feel comfortable cracking open the whole lighting unit.

Yeah the flickering can make it look like that lol. I don't know...I just love the way they look in the pics as you said.

Yep. Price is high tho but i cant justify paying 130$-250 for bulbs that i wont be happy with. Good luck!
