Car looks good, definitely needs those KW's though!

Why do xDrive guys think they have no exhaust options? There are plenty - Borla, Corsa, SuperSprint, Dinan, BMW Performance. There shouldn't be any issues with exhaust fitment just because it's an xDrive

Thanks! A drop is a must! But yeah, there's definitely fitment issues if I go DP back because xDrive cars have a transfer case in the middle. It gets in the way of the pipes as most DP back exhausts are made to fit i models only. I saw a thread about it and witnessed first hand as my friend purchased an Innotech exhaust system and had to go to a shop to make some cuts and welds to clear the transfer case. What I've read is only axle back exhausts are guaranteed fit (BMW Performance, Eisenmann, etc) and the AE downpipes back exhaust fit without any modification.

Cool to hear that you're teaching yourself. You're braver than I - I've been meaning to do so, but the first opportunity that presented itself was my water pump and thermostat and that looked way out of reach for me.

Looks great! You should go with silver wheels (I know; subjective), and drop that ass to the floor. KW's are great.

Also, there are plenty of exhaust options. xDrive doesn't really limit you in that department.

Might want to check this out too; it's the route that I went. Super stoked with the results!

I wouldn't blame you. Water pump and thermostat requires a lot of work. My next DIY project will probably be walnut blasting intake valves and valve cover gasket (another scary one since it requires a lot of attention to detail).

I've actually read that thread and thought about that. Where did you go to get it done? I've messaged Dave from Gardner about this mod, but I'd like to keep my options open in terms of shops. Did you also change out your x pipe?
