My contribution to the forum...saved a ton of money!

I found the motherload- a quality indy shop that is less expensive than anything I've ever seeeeen. Below is what I had the shop do and what they charged me. Note that I purchased the parts myself separately. These are out-the-door prices:
335i:
Downpipe replacement $75
Transmission pan replacement including fluid (Castrol full synthetic multi import) $89.95
Valve cover gasket replacement $150
G35:
Control arm replacement (both) $80
He only charges $50/hour labor and is super conservative on the number of hours (in the customer's favor). He barely marks up parts at all. Everything but the transmission gasket kit would have been cheaper had I had him order the parts.

The guy gets the work done fast, ASE certified, English is his primary (and probably only) language, been in the community a number of years, has wife & kids, is an all-around good guy, and on and on...The shop is just him and his wife.

Below is his contact info. I found that email worked best. I'm not affiliated with the shop in any way other than being a really satisfied customer who wants him to stay in business!

Dang, that's pretty good!

I'm down in Bonita but for those prices it'd be worth the drive.

Bonita is not that far of drive at all. At these prices it's worth the drive from northern FL for some work.

For the valve cover gasket replacement the dealer wanted over $1,000 just in labor and my previous favorite indy shop with lower prices than most wanted $600 in labor. Saved $450.

Lowest indy price for the dp replacement I could find around here was $350. Saved $275.

I'm not 100% sure but I'd bet that he does. Just shoot him an email.
