Loud metallic "crack" from exhaust when changing gear
Ok, i know a lot about the wastegate rattle (and actually slightly have it... ) but i've encountered another problem also...
Every time after starting the car (especially cold) and making a first firm pull, i can hear a loud metallic harsh sound from exhaust when changing gear up, usually from 1->2 (AT). When changing from 2->3 right after everything is normal. I think it has to be related to the turbos as it need a bit of boost to happen. When driving "normally" i cannot hear it. - It cannot be the buterfly valve as it has been removed - all vacuum / boost lines have been changed - no fault codes - JB4, stock pipes Any ideas? The car looks amazing now after all updates and the sound makes it feel like a 6$ shitbucket. |

check the big clamp on exhaust pipes right after the down pipes. also check DP/turbo V bands. under shifting load engine moves and if everything is not buttoned down with enough clearance you'll get noises. basically make sure everything in the exhaust system from turbo back is tight. also motor mounts.
