New W205 C63 Render
The W205 C63 will be powered by a 4.0L biturbo V8 (which will also power the new AMG GT, the SLS successor).
In addition to being offered in sedan form, there will be coupe, estate, convertible, and Black Series variants. Most recent testing footage (with E90 M3 and AMG GT in tow); exhaust note is starting to shape up:

Killing me here. Only five more months till reveal. Orders should open up late Nov. or December, and if the 'S' variant is announced, I'll have my car early spring '15.

I have no life, and I'm scarier than your dear old bitworld image, that's why. Still, I'll stand by my words, girly.

I agree. However, I bet this car will look wider than the W204 from the rear.

Main reason are costs for such low volume sellers. M3 E90, new M3 F80, IS-F, and RS4 are exceptions. M5 for example never had wider rear fenders. The main constraint is that the rear quarter panel is part of the monocoque chassis and is not "bolt-on" like the front wings. Moreover, if the rear fenders were wider, the rear doors too would have to be different, what is not the case the of the sedans mentioned above. Their flair is not centred, but is skewed to the rear of the car. In the case of the new C Class (W205), it is even more difficult to do, because of the overall design with the dropping line. It would require a new door, in style of the CLS. C 350 C 63 AMG But now, something like this would be great: |

That top render looks like they didn't touch the fenders at all.

I have a relative with a C300 w/ "Sport" styling. I'll try to take some side-by-side comparison photos. I just had my C63 detailed (many thanks to Mike @ Driven Auto Detail). I'll try to recreate these angles for my shots of the C300:

I was talking about rear fenders which are not wider on AMG models compared to standard cars. Front fenders on all AMG and M car (M5&M6) are wider. But that is just what I don't like about, the cars look unbalanced and give it "FWD" impression due to impressive front track.
Now that is killer! But real IS F never came that way. Too bad there was no C 63 AMG Sedan Black Series. Last edited by BMW269; 06-07-2014 at 05:40 PM.. |

Right on. My mistake. I confused you with another member (this member once tried to convince me the AMG fenders were identical to the standard car fenders; I pointed out to him that on the W204, the front bumper makes up part of the front fenders and that the AMG has its own distinct bumper and thus, its own distinct flares).
