***Do all BMW 335i's have the manual option even the ones w/o the sport package?**
I've been shopping around for a 2007-2008 BMW 335i and have gotten many offers but a lot of them didn't have paddle-shifters liked I want so then I figured out that paddle-shifters can be added quite easily if the vehicle already has manual option. So my question is, do all 335i's have the manual option even if they don't have the sports package? I've asked around and have gotten mixed answers (even from BMW workers via phone). I'm wondering because this would mean I could buy any 335i without paddle-shifters and eventually add them aftermarket which makes my market search open up a lot more.

Yes. Just push the stick into sport mode and then move up to downshift and down to upshift.

To answer your question, yes. Every 335i with an automatic steptronic transmission has "manual" mode. Some of these cars have paddle shifters, some don't. A 335i with a true manual transmission will not have paddle shifters.
I don't believe you can easily add paddle shifters to an auto car that doesn't already have them though. There would definitely be some coding involved as well as a complete steering wheel swap. |

Why not just get the real thing? Nothing beats 3 pedals...

EDIT: I see what your saying. I thought original OP meant M3 paddle-shifters when he said 3 pedals as many refer to the M3 as just the 3. I see now. He meant clutch, gas, brake I guess? Confused at first |

Lol, too bad I can't afford M3. Otherwise I would have gotten one. I can afford the older model M3's but i don't like the way they look. And last time I checked, the 335i's compete with the older M3's. 0-60 in 4.8 seconds stock on a 335i. And they look a lot better and have a lot more features compared to the old M3's. I only paid $9,000 for my 335i with 124,000 miles..

Not sure if I watched exact video you mentioned but I did find a couple of good ones. You think automatic is faster than the manual version while it's in manual mode with shift knob or when paddle-shifters are being used? Or both faster than manual version? Never heard that automatic versions were faster than manual versions.. I always figured it was at-least .1 slower during the 0-60 with the automatic. Good news if it is faster since I do own an automatic
