Wot at 110mph and BOOOOMMM
damnit guys I was doing a couple wot runs at during a turn was doing about 110mph and the engine went into limp mode hard (was just joking about the boom...didnt go boom lol). Looked up the codes and they were all misfire codes essentially in bank 1...misfire cylinder 1, 2, and 3.
Codes were p2626, p0301, p0302, p0300, p0303, p2c3d, p2aaf, p2c7b, p29cd, p29ce, p29cc, p29cf, p30ba, p2c77. Can anyone take even a slight guess at what went wrong here? There wasnt any kind of smoke...just really rough idle and no power essentially...seemed like only 2-3 cylinders were working lol...felt like i had about 50hp. ![]() ![]() ![]() all the help would be greatly appreciated. also i might have not put in all the info you guys need to help me diagnose this problem so just let me know if you need anything else. thanks

Some of those are secondary o2 codes which wouldn't be causing misfires or really providing much insight into the problem.
Does it misfire repeatedly? Or was it a one off? If there are no other obvious codes to help inform of the problem, it could have just been the stars aligning to F you over. The DME is very finicky and will shut down the cylinders if it senses anything it doesn't like.

plugs 15k miles, coils 85k, and injectors probably 40k. however the misfires were from all 3 cylinders in bank 1...cylinders 1,2,and 3 which leads me to believe there is something else wrong. it seems very unlikely that all 3 cylinders would misfire at the same time right...possible but would be extremely coincidental.
would a blown turbo do this? or maybe a blown o2 sensor?

How old are plugs and coils? If nothing obvious, always start with the ignition end of things. Easiest and cheapest to throw money at.

Manual trans so did u miss a gear or hey naming it into the wrong gear causing over rev bending valves?

DME injector MOSFET took a shit. Do a search for Roy cormiers post on how to fix it yourself or go buy a new DME for $2K.
You will most likely have 1 or more injectors or coils that got fried along with it but no way to know until the DME is fixed. |

thanks man...but doubt it...ive tried to solder before but for some reason i cant get the solder to melt right. they say dont put solder directly onto the iron tip but me holding the tip on the board seems to melt the board before it melts onto the wire lol.
ill have to watch some more soldering videos but damn hope i can get it.

yeah i thought the title might be misleading a little but yeah doesnt seem that bad. i was scared though when i was at the auto store and they couldnt pull any codes with their code reader lol.

Test the Mosfetts before you replace them. Based on what I'm seeing it is not them. Change your plugs and swap your coils bank to bank. Weak spark is the likely issue.

If you took out an entire bank I doubt it is plugs or coils... It would also be rare for 3 injectors to fail all at the same time. I would start by looking the trigger sensors for that bank (cam, crank). I would also do a leak-down test and make sure everything is kosher. When you do the leak-down you should take a look at the plugs as someone suggested above. You should also look at the O2 for that bank and make sure it is "switching". Good luck!
