Tyre Recommendations

The rear tyres on my e92 are down to 3mm so will need a new pair very soon.. I am running non RFT, currently Uniroyals that have been pretty good tyres but have worn quite quickly. So any recommendations for non RFT's? Also any tyre retailers / fitters that you would recommend.

a lot of people run vredestein ultrac sessanta as they perform like a premium tyre but are not overly priced. Im sure a few people here could vouch for these tyres. i have done around 1000miles in them and they seem pretty grippy. Cant comment on the wear as i aint had them on for long. camskill are generally best priced!

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2s are one of the better tyres on the go.

They always score very well in tyre test comparisons.

I've had them for over and year and have been very happy with them.

Price wise they are near the bottom of the premium tyre brands through places like Camskill and Tyreleader.

How are people finding the sidewalls on the F1 AS2s, are they soft or reasonably stiff? Heard lots of positive things about these tyres and they are keenly priced. Thinking of replacing my RFTs with these.

Just bought a pair of vred sessantas and really lookikg forward to putting them on.

I've excised to preserve the shiney summer rims and throw on the style 95s between shows and vreds will go on the style 95s

Have read really good reviews on them as a performance tyre at a budget.

Khumos are fantastic bang for buck.

At the moment I have Eagle F1 Asy 2's and they are ace. Only went for these as there was a big discount on them. I'm not sure I would pay full price for them.

Just ordered 4 new tyres for my new rims.
Went with kumhos, so good to hear some decent feedback on them, reviews seem to vary.
Less than £400 is pretty good in my book

Are most tyre places happy to fit your tyres when bought elsewhere? What is the fitting cost per corner including valve, balancing, disposal etc?

Ranges from £10-15 per tyre for 19". Got my 19" the other day for £12.50 per tyre. But these guys only fit new ones. Some will try and rip you off (formula 1/kwik fit) and charge over £20 per tyre!!

Just fitted some hankook ventus prime evo 2. K117. ( mouthful) they are superb and not very dear either . Wanted good year f1 but they are a lot of money. I went to my tyres who seem best value. Hope this helps. 😆
