Voice Commands Cheat Sheet
Not sure if this has been answered before but a search found nothing...
Can anyone/has anyone put together a list of all possible voice commands I can use for the voice button? The manual is not that helpful. It would be great if there were a list of commands at one's fingertips instead of scattered all over the place. I'd laminate it and stick it to the console during the momorization phase...then impress all with my savvy use of the system (joking of course lol)

When I took PC delivery Jonathan mentioned that somewhere in the Idrive there is a listing of all the accepted commands. I got the TEC ashtray replacement with the voice command cards. We haven't fooled with voice commands yet. Still fooling with everything else.

voice commands for E90
The attached manual enabled me to finally figure out how to make cell phone calls thru the cars voice command system without having to manually push buttons (start on page 9). You have to push the voice command button, wait for the tone, then say "add name" , then follow the computer prompts. The only odd thing is that you have to enter the phone numbers in sections, i.e 1-800-773-4444 When the computer says number, you would say 1800, the computer repeats 1800, then says continue, you say 773, the computer repeats 773 and says continue, you say 4444, the computer says 4444 and says continue, you say "save", the computer saves it to the cars phone book. You need to make the names as different as possible as the computer can be confused by trying to differentiate from "peter" and "peter home". To dial the number, you press the voice command button, wait for the tone, then speak the name, the computer will ask you if you want to dial that name, you say yes and off you go. The memo function listed in this pdf does not seem to work, does anyone know if this is functional???

Memo function not implemented at least not in US spec.
If your phone has stored numbers they are downloaded when you pair and you do not have to "add" numbers/names. Just say the name. For a one of or new you just say the number as you have described. You can try to string as many numbers together as possible in one fell swoop.

I've been playing around a bit with my one-month old e92 (Bluetooth, non-iDrive, non-iPod).
By saying "help", a very short command list is spoken by the car. I've already noticed a few things of interest: The word "Call" is not understood. you must say "Dial" When speaking number to call (or store), the system understands "Oh" as a "0". Any other discoveries? The manual that came with the Bluetooth mentions the voice command only as an aside, and refers you to the main Owners Manual, which actually doesn't say much about it either. For example: How many allowable entries are there for the voice PhoneBook? Is there any way to build in a Pause? (Like most phones allow programming in a comma for a 1-second pause, in order to auto-dial a number, then pause, then auto-dial an extension or password. (I'd really love this, to be able to auto-dial my own cell number, getting my voice mail, have it also auto-dial my pin, and therefore only need to use the radio-buttons for the 1=save, 7=delete message, functions).
