Comfort Access not functioning correctly, and low remote range
I've only had the car about 2 months, but lately I have to literally be standing right on top of the car for the remote to unlock via the unlock button, and most of the time the comfort access does not work to lock or unlock the car using the door handle. It worked perfectly until about a week ago.
I called up my dealer and they said to bring it in, but they want to replace the car battery which isn't covered under CPO (Car has 50,500 miles) and I would be looking at $$$ to replace it. The fob batteries are brand new and made zero difference. Anyone else had a similar issue?

I take it you didn't tint the car.
I take it you didn't tint the car.
Tint is known to cause problems with radio waves. Aftermarket Battery will run anywhere from 100 to 200 with the upper range being better. I have a Interstate MTP 49/H8 Do not use battery backup when changing the battery it will blow fuses. Get it registered at an Indy or by a local coder. Yes put a charge on it first to see what happens. |

You shouldn't need to replace the battery that soon... try replacing the batteries in the fob to see if that makes a difference. Also try disconnecting the negative battery term for 30 min and reconnecting.
