Changing ground location for cig lighter
I'm interested in changing the ground location for the cig lighter outlet in my center console.
Wondering if this should be as easy as accessing it by pulling apart the console, snipping the ground wire, extending it and finding a good point under the carpet to ground to. End result is that I need to remove ground loop interference I'm experiencing when powering my AirEnabler/DAC from a cig lighter USB adapter. Anyone have any advice here? Thanks!

It's a crap shoot. I'd add a cap across the alternator's positive and ground (I forgot what value, but you can find that in a google search). If you don't want to do that, then you can also add the cap across the battery terminals. I had success doing that with an MSD cap (they sell it for ignition noise).
