Cam ledger bearing. LOOK!

So dropped my car off last night to do the cam ledger bearing. I was honestly quite skeptical if it was the problem or not cause it's been hit or miss but a lot more missing. (With the maintenance that is). Markert Motorworks is doing the job, as they do all of the work on the car. They got it off surprisingly quick and sent me a picture.

It's like you wouldn't be able to tell it was messed up if there wasn't a new one to compare it too.

Just getting a text saying the intake side is messed up as well. Looks like I'm doing intake and exhaust, YAY

History on motor, Frequency of oil changes? Looks like the bearings started to spin. Have you had any past history of vanos codes?

Do a pull then get off the gas slowing back down, limp mode. It works fine when there is oil pressure there. But when you are off of it. It freaks. it also doesn't do it much on map 5. Map 6 23 psi and aggressive-ish timing it does a lot. So it's a load issue I believe.

When I purchased the car about a year ago, the valve cover was busted. Did that immediately. Oil changed every 5k but now do 3k since the rb's. Only recently got vanos codes.

Looking again that is the surface for the mechanical vanos I think. Do you have any pictures of those and the cam shafts?

Sorry to hear. Just rebuilt my engine myself so I know the feel. It's not hard at all to replace these trays, they are also quite affordable, however if you factor in the need to purchase the special tools for both timing and cam ledge alignment, you end up paying pretty much the same.

This may have been answered, but what symptoms were you experiencing?

No issues pushing up to 25psi in the lower rev range. You just dont want to try to maintain that up to redline

I've seen hundreds of RB logs and NEVER have I seen anyone push them higher than 20-21 psi.
