Abs lights and Dash Command
Hi All,
I had my Abs warning lights come on on the way home tonight on the motorway. Car seemed to accelerate on its own, then when I touched the brakes to stop it, the dash lit up. Tyre pressure, abs etc came on, car seemed to go into limp home mode and wouldn't exceed 2000rpm. I was right by some services so pulled off, turned the engine, brief visual inspection and then drove to main car park to plug in my OBD II device. Reading on here, most probably the fault is a speed/abs sensor on a wheel - recent tyre changes on rear and I'd caught a pothole 30miles earlier - but if that's the case, shouldn't I see an error code in my diagnostics? Using a wifi obd II and 'Dash Command' on my ipad. Does anyone have any experience of that reader software? It actually doesn't seem to read much from the engine except rpm, but this is the first opportunity thankfully to check for an error code. So, questions are, is the software any good (or others you'd recommend?) and should I see an error code? Thanks all 56 plate 330d auto. David |

Ps, forgot to say, after restart, the lights had gone out but I had no speedo, then after 100yards, 'bing' speedo came back and so did the lights. Usual dtc and cruise are disabled.
