When I first saw these pics I was disappointed but after thinking it over, I really like this facelift on the RX.
The new LED integration into the headlights is going to give this SUV some much needed presence. All they need to do now is implement an LED refresh into the tail lights and it will give this SUV a very dramatic improvement. Lexus is headed in the right direction. Their interiors are also going up a notch in appearance compared to their previous generations. It's about time. The only car I would consider buying from them is the IS-range. |

The car is driven by my wife who wanted to get an Infiniti FX. Period. Cayenne, X5, ML, and RX were never even considered as she simply didn't like them. We went to the dealership and test drove a base FX with 18" wheels and no sport package and it handled like a jacked up Altima (not well - and probably the version you test drove and rented). We then test drove the sport package car with the larger wheels and stiffer suspension and were thoroughly impressed so we bought the car. We didn't buy it because it had bulletproof reliability, advanced technology, or luxury. My wife wanted an FX, so she got an FX. Can you please tell me a little more about my priorities?

How the fuck do people call this face boring?
It's still not my cup of tea, but compared to the outgoing snoozefest of a car it's replacing, I think it's a massive improvement. The spindle grille works better on this car than on some of the other new Lexus models (GS works best imo), plus we're starting to get an element of unified recognition amongst the Lexus brand. They've needed some better street effects for awhile. By comparison, the old piece of shit "egg" face: ![]()
