that's strange - i tried to shut mine off at various speeds to reset the limp mode and it wouldn't shut off (or back on) until I came to a stop.

hmmm - I had an april 07 build date...maybe a safety feature they added in later?? No clue???

Just an FYI, during my time doing some testing on the dyno, I pulled a wire off in an incorrect sequence and ended up with the "half power" limp mode. I dyno'ed anyway for the hell of it and the car put down 240 whp, from the 294 it was making previously

Ok, I'll be the asshole and point out the obvious....

Guys, I hate to be the asshole, but my car, STOCK, doesn't ever do that. So if everyone here who has had that happaned is running Procede, I don't think you need to ask what the problem is.

This is the beginning of a host of issues that are gonna start showing up.......suddenly, the ease of modifying our cars comes with a heavy price, a car that starts throwing codes and enters limp modes and does it in some abnormal fashion. Not good boys........not good at all

Just because you say it doesn't make it true. I've run PROcede for 18,000 miles now, and the ONLY problem I've ever had is the occasional yellow engine light. That's it. Nothing else. And I have pretty high confidence that with V2, even that will go away completely.

You have absolutely no evidence whatsoever that this is "the beginning of a host of issues...". You simply made that part up per your own agenda.

Isnt this expected from intercepting what the ecu was orginally trying to do?

Why are you guys suprised at gettting cel's? My stock car hasnt either.

I also think it is quit funny when people say, I have had mine for xxxxx miles and its totally fine,, except the 3 times I got a limp mode and the 2 other times it was reduced power.. LOLOL. Other than that,, its GREAT.

I dont even have a Procede,, But what I have read is V1.47lmp or somthing takes care of the limp problem. If I had the Procede, I think that is the first place i would look instead of making the 20th thread stating,, OMG i got a limp mode.

exited the freeway and limp mode came on, at the stop sign, I floored it and it took off strong (turbos on and strong) while limp mode stayed on. tried it again at the next stop light and again it took off strongly. while i was slowing down to make a right, limp mode suddenly went off.

WTF is going on here?! has this happened to anyone here? I never once shut down the motor.

(i have procede 1.45...waiting until v2 arrives)
If you had full power and the engine light, you threw an emissions related code (as someone else said).

Update to version v1.47 as it fixes a possible misfire condition during cruise condition. Misfire could potentially trigger an emissions related code.

Boost Nation's car did. Multiple times. See post #14.

Thanks for chiming in Shiv. If it were indeed a misfire, would there be any reason for us to worry? Something to check out perhaps?

Mine was running 1.47 when it happened.

I do appreciate your valuable input on this.

then don't post....asshat. Several stock cars have had the same issue. Mine included. Just because your car hasn't had the issue doesn't mean it cant happen.

Bet my ass that the percentage of codes being thrown is MUCH HIGHER among tuned cars than stock.

According to the poll almost 50% of all cars with PROcede have had limp mode, with 10% of those getting it more than once a week

but I am sure those statistics have improved since 1.47

I had limp modes thrown quite a few times, while driving normally or on the track. Was able to shut down by holding the stop button until it turned off while at speed. Luckily I havent had any issues since I upgraded to 1.47, but worried about my next track day. Cant decide if I should go back to stock, or just hope for the best.

I dont want to take it off, PROcede makes the track that much more fun. Keeping up with that GT3 on the straightaway made my hair stand on end!

Limp mode is likely much more common with tuned vehicles. The factory tune has a much wider safety margin and is conservative in its tune. I have had two Limp modes once on 1.45 and once on 1.47 both times though i could not read a history code after restart. Therefore, it was not a major issue. These computers will store significant codes after restart thats what part of their function is.(black box)

Anyways lets hope V2 is that much better as I am sure it will be. Now drive it like you stold it.

Hmmm...why do people who own non-tuned cars troll the tuned forum to continually point out why the cause of every problem is the tuning, just to validate their own decision to not-tune?

A properly installed V1.47 or V1.47LBT PROcede running good gas is a pretty solid machine. Obviously we lose some fault tolerance running the PROcede tune, but you never get something for free, and an occasional limp mode, IMO, is a perfectly acceptable tradeoff for the absurd amount of power my car makes now. Frankly, the single time my car went into limp mode was a day or two after I installed the PROcede and all I had in the tank was shitty 91 octane gas. I had heard an occasional knock two times and then I got the limp mode. The next tank was a little 100 octane and the rest 91 and it's running smmmoooootthhhh!!!! Not a hiccup and I am driving it like I stole it.

And as others have said, I swear it's getting stronger. I haven't had the PROcede when the temp has been below 103 degrees ambient, so I am really looking forward to winter in the Southwest and V2. REALLY looking forward to it!

I took my procede off and the Car is running rough and not accelerating, the eng is hesitating ,loss of power. And Vishnu hasn't returned a call or email to help. Has anyone had continued problems after removing the procede?
