As for the car, I posted it and then took it down. I'm on the fence about selling. Basically, if I sell the car I promised myself I'd quit the modding scene and I don't think I'm totally ready to do that yet. But we'll see. I also adjusted my asking price - I'm looking for around $55k for the car. If you want I can probably install your shift knob along with the boost gauge once it comes in if you're willing to reimburse me for my time. It'd be cheaper than bring it to a shop, just the V3 wiring and the knob wiring could be time consuming. So let me know if you don't have it all set up.

yeah.. I'm doing the 650i knob, the new '09 DCT for the 3er knob... so the wiring is very different from the SMG one. I'm actually picking up the wiring schematics tonight from my buddy.

Well the wiring on the car should be the same, hooking it up to the knob itself could be different. How are you liking yours 20s now? I'm thinking about going back haha, but can't decide.

the 650/dct knob has 12 pins(connections) vs the SMG's 6. as for the 20's, they are cool. i dont think i can go 19's, i'm too used to the look and stance. was looking to sell and possibly change it up but I didn't get serious offers. possibly due to the 'great' market we're in right now

well it will move if you have it at a sporty setting. mine is a bit lower, it's more of a cruiser height. but if it's smooth flat roads I'll gun it and it'll be fine. if i see dips I gotta downshift and start braking.

Alright so I've been playing around with the shift knob for a few hours now and have sorted out everything i'll need to manufacture a plug and play shift knob. it won't however utilize the OEM connectors, but it will utilize oem pins - so essentially instead of plugging in a molex connector to a molex connector you would plug one pin into another. The solution would be sturdy and very easy to implement as well as require no cutting of OEM wires. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to release just a wire kit or if you'd have to send me the knob to modify. If i make it a fully standalone kit i'd have to essentially double the number of pins. I'll release pricing and photos soon.

I second that, a plug and play pin set would work much better than having to ship the actual knob.

Hi guys can some one tell me how easy to fit the SMG knob without have it light up is it just the case of remove the old one and fit the SMG or is it more complicated than that ? I current knob is scratched and would like to get a SMG knob this week if it is a direct replacement .
