F11 is a great idea. I shot this handheld the other night, and the shutter speed was creeping down in my dark kitchen, but I will probably have the tripod out again when I do a mega batch of baking in the next couple of weeks. (cookies are my main gift I send out to friends and family afar).

Sorry Mark, I wish I could send the taste over the net I brought these to work today and they were gone before the end of my coffee break. Seems the ladies in my office really like the combination of orange and chocolate.
You shot at 1/100-sec., so I wouldn't be afraid to hand hold down to 1/50-sec., even without IS.

If you could send a taste over the net, you'd be a millionaire.

Click on the image and that'll take you to the image in Flickr, then click on the ellipse ... at the lower right and then click View EXIF data.

This only works for those of us that use Flickr to host our images and allow people to see our EXIF. You can control whether people can see it or not, but I'd generally recommend letting people see it. Some other hosting sites have similar functionality, but most do not.

BTW, Flickr offers 1TB of free image storage for all new users. They make it easy to share images and allow viewers to see the images in realistic sizes, up to full-screen.

I was just showing some visitors from out of town around our little waterfront, and ended up driving right under this guy. I only had the 5D with the 24-105 on it, and wished I had my 400 handy. Still I was surprised he let me drive up right under him and fire away.

^^^^^^^Wow, that's awesome, Ed. He must have been pretty close. You didn't even need the TC as it was 350mm.

Yeah, he took off from a power pole. I was right under him and shot him out the window of the X. Right place at right time.

The Definition of Sleek by ddk632, on Flickr

By the way for anyone interested to see the whole set of the i8 from the LA Auto Show, I posted my entire set in this thread in the i8 general forum: (of course it is also on my Flickr, 25 photos)

I'm in love with this car!

It's the TC-III, which makes a pretty big difference vs. the II and I and non-Canons.
