Different Exhausts near Boston

haha, apparently Hadley says it's "damn loud"

whatever you do, if you get PE, don't change the tips to double walled ones, you will get less gurgle on deceleration...the tips on the PE are single walled and thin which allows more vibration...only reason I still have mine, haven't found a good vendor of 3.5" single walled tips yet...I know people will fight me on this and say changing tips does not change sound but I've seen it in person for the PE

I have a PE and love the sound

I don't have it coupled with downpipes like your setup, wish I did though!

Exactly, I'd prefer sound/tone vs volume. So many responses with the PE I guess I need to hear this out.

When are you installing it Etek?

Does anyone know if the Remus Race is louder than the PE? or vice versa?

I had a PE for about a year it was nice and had a clean sound but im more into performance rather then a little louder tone then stock .Then found an hpf exhaust which is super loud and pops likes crazy and wakes everyone up but idc.

I have a BMW PE with secondary cats delete (N55 E90). I'm usually in Worcester during the evenings or Southern Rhode Island during the day if you are around. I was in the same boat as yourself and went to a BMW meet in NYC. I heard several exhaust systems and settled on the PE because it is not loud and very clean sound. I did notice after I deleted my secondary cats there is a slight drone 2-3rpm but bearable.

but always willing...you should come july 18th with us to Turner and you'll be able to hear a bunch of exhausts all at once

I definitely need to hear it, the videos I find of the PE vary so dramatically in tone and sound. I am in Waltham during the day and Quincy at night but I could probably work something out.

I have also noticed that the PE sounds different on N54 v N55 but maybe it's just me

Got the PE I bought from bimmer74 installed on Sat. Maybe it's all in my head but the 1st day seemed like there was a bottleneck like car was struggling. Today I drove around to play tennis and grab lunch and it was normal just a lil bit louder. Also exhaust tip on left sat lower than right. Everything bolted in perfectly but could it be worn mounts to cause 1 side to sit lower?
