7-10 days is correct. My car unloads in Charleston and will be ready for pickup at the dealership 11-29.

I did the ED and my car 328i is on the Courage.

I noticed it left late!

It must also be the oldest/slowest one they have. It takes 12 days when everyone else takes 10. One boat left the day after and arrives a day before.

It is supposed to stop in Baltimore. I might take a ride down to see it just for the hell of it....

My car sat in at the port for 3 weeks. Pobably the longest it will ever sit out during its life with me.

First off, how the did you find out what cargo ship your cars were on.

The second item, and not to on any one's parade. The reason the cars are sitting in the port so long, there is some issue with the cars they are having mechanics fix before they deliver the cars to us.

My buddy, a long time BMW owner who happens to have his own personal BMW mechanic told him a few weeks ago he got a call from BMW asking him if he can come to one of a number of ports where cars are being held to do some work on them. I also just confirmed with my dealer my car is held up in this and he claims it is to make some emissions adjustments to meet some states new emission requirements. Sounds fishy to me since I have not hear of any new emissions requirements.

Disregard, my first question, I found the answer...

I heard rumors of a change in the ECU due to cold start problems (don't think that's an issue in S. Fla). I was told this was being done at the factory if the car wasn't built and as a "recall" where you bring the car into the dealership to be fixed if it was. Again, this is 3rd hand info, so don't rely on it.

I first heard about the cold start fix here :http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=31578&page=12

That thread is Shiv's take 3 thread on 335i modification. Anyone not read that thread(its very long) is advised to do so. VERY INTERESTING material.

As for the cold start fix, someone else in that thread claimed the fix reduced horsepower. I have heard no confirmation of this since so I'm assuming that's bullshit.

Anyone have a location for the Courage? Sailx is not updating and I can't find it on aislive.com. Is there a way to search for the Courage on Aislive.com other than by looking for each call sign in the port? She's due in tomorrow. Was hoping she'd be early.

Sure hope it wasn't an iceberg at 6pm, Nov 13. I must've refreshed that page 100 times in the last 2 days.

I can't figure out how to search on aislive either.

Do you think there is ANY chance of getting the car before Thanksgiving in Milwaukee?

I am just curious. How much did you guys pay for your car. I got $2000 off MSRP. well, $2500 +-. I got the deal prep and the floor mat free, too. I am in St. Louis.

And I have to beg for like 8 months for it. Early this year, I wanted to get a used M3. but the dealer talked me into getting the 335 sedan. the other reason is we have 3 kids.

$1,800 off MSRP. No begging. Was a 10 min negotiation. Dealer: Nope can't do it. Me: OK, I'll go buy it from _______. Dealer: You'll buy it right now......

Done and Done.

I'm told I could have done better, but I think this was a fairly good price. Its on the coupe. Production started about 1-1.5 weeks after my order.

Mine was sitting in Bremerhaven for something like 10 days, and if the delay was because they were fixing something, they did a hell of a job because my car has been great. Actually, I don't think they do any repairs at the port unless they are very minor. I think the more significant issues are dealt with at VPC. And FWIW, if they have to fix anything major, BMW tells you about it.

BTW - I'm a Courage alum. I hope you guys enjoy your new cars as much as we did!

Tried looking again for her tonight and couldn't find her. Hope she left already. Here's a link I found in another thread showing times of arrivals in NY Ports. She's the 8th one down.

By the way, below is the link to the port. Simply put your mouse over Traffic(don't click it) and more choices appear below. Click NY Departures and Scheduled Departures for information

Thanks for the updates

Thanks Icall for the updates. My dealer tells me I should have the car on Tuesday (isn't in SC yet, so I think he's wrong) and the anticipation is killing me.

I drove an S4 this weekend. Very solid feel to it - pulled about as hard as the 335i at low rpm (salesman was with me, and I'm not sure how the cars differ at higher rpm). It seemed like a half-breed car. Half precision engineered, tight, stable european sport sedan and half Ford Mustang LX 5.0 with glass packs. The rumble of that V8 really resonated within the cabin. It pleased the part of me that wants to whip around corners without tire protest, yet had the sound of a muscle car. I still think the 335i is a better choice for me, but I wasn't expecting to the like the Audi quite so much.

Nothing a little mod'ing won't fix....

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31578

390bhp to 400bhp assuming 15-18% loss to wheels. There is video on the first one that shows 0-60 in low 4's(4.1-4.3)

What sold me on the 335i was the fact that its an animal when you want it to be and a luxury car when you want it to be. That and the growl when you hit 4k RPMs

Sleeper

That's exactly why I'm buying the 335i sedan - wolf in sheep's clothing.

I was looking at that map also.

Where is the ship? I just cant see it. I wanted to go down to the port to see what it looked like, but did not see it there and thought it might have left.
